Paddleboarding might be the best workout you can do. Not only does it not feel like a workout but it works out almost every muscle in your body. If you are someone who doesn’t really like working out in general Paddleboarding can be a great alternative. The reason why is because there isn’t much to paddleboarding that requires what normal exercising requires. You do not have to do jumping jacks or have weights you just have to have your paddle, and your board and you are good to go.
Just by paddling around in open waters you are using almost every muscle in your body. You are using your arms to the paddle, of course, your leg muscles are engaged because you have to keep your feet planted firmly on the paddleboard. And your core is engaged as well because your core is your body's center of balance and is what's keeping you from falling off. If you are paddleboarding around just for fun for about an hour you are going to burn anywhere from 300-400 calories.
Not only can you just paddleboard around for exercise you can also do paddleboard yoga. This is simply yoga but instead, on land, it is on a paddleboard.
