A man from Austin Texas named Aaron Gonzales is going to embark on the incredible journey next month. Just him and his paddle board, paddling a whopping 400 miles along the coast of Texas. You may ask why someone would want to go on such a long ride. All for charity. One that he is very passionate about a charity that helps train dogs to become service dogs for vets. Aaron predicts his journey will last around 14 days. He is planning to stop on beaches so that he can spend the night. The whole voyage took over a year for him to plan.
Making sure that he was going to be able to complete it as well as mapping out his stops and watching the weather making sure he is going in the right conditions. Gonzales also had to make sure he gathered all of the supplies that he will need which include a food and water supply that is going to last him ten days, tent for camping on the beaches, as well as more equipment that is going to ensure he is safe while he is set to become the first person to stand up paddle board along the Texas coast.
He is looking to achieve this by traveling up to thirty miles each day and resting at beaches he will come across at night. The only worry that Aaron has is not the actual dangerous nature of the journey but rather actually finishing it.
